SYNOPSIS

Cassim Kaif is a young Muslim man balancing his duties to his father’s fabric shop in Fordsburg with his true passion: stand-up comedy. In this sequel, Cassim sets out on a nationwide tour of South Africa to take his career to the next level. The journey tests his relationships with his family and his best friend, Zuluboy, as they navigate the complexities of identity, culture, and the pursuit of dreams. New Material is a heartwarming comedy-drama that explores the friction between tradition and modern ambition, all while capturing the diverse landscapes of South Africa.
